Peace deals are explained in a recent article in the Jewish News Syndicate.
Recently, we have seen a few surprising peace deals in the Middle East. The Jewish News Syndicate clearly explains some of the reasons for these deals. The Trump administration has received credit for pushing these countries together. And rightly so. But the deals had to happen. Over the past decades, there have been numerous threats, conflicts, and wars across the Middle East. Most readers are aware of these. But the threat of conflict is rising again. And this time, the threat is far more dangerous. And it must be taken seriously.
Israel and the Sunni-Arab Gulf states have taken notice. They have begun to act.
Regarding potential threats, a recent article from the Jewish News Syndicate points a finger at the two primary suspects. And no clear-eyed individuals are surprised.
Iran and Turkey. The bold plans of both of these nations are the reasons why Sunni-Arab states and Israel are in a desperate search for peace. And they will find it. Because they have to. If the Trump administration fails in its legal efforts to stay in power, the Biden administration will potentially unleash the Muslim Brotherhood. And I use the word ‘potentially’ to be intellectually honest. I don’t know the future, but it’s not hard to predict. The future is easy to predict when, or if, we are aware of the immediate past.
The future is not a mystery
The Muslim Brotherhood is a nefarious organization and is in league with Turkey. They would love to overthrow the current Egyptian government. From there they would hold key offensive positions in lieu of an attack on Israel. And they hold close ideological positions with Iran. If the Trump administration is forced to concede to Biden, most of Europe will rejoice. They, along with the Biden administration, will jump quickly at the opportunity to rejoin the Iran nuclear deal. That will mean fresh rounds of cash and commerce between Iran and Europe.
Peace be damned! They prefer an exchange of weapons and cold hard cash.
And it doesn’t take an Einstein intellect for one to know that a return to the Obama foreign policy is more likely than not.
The Kings of the North and South will collide
40“At the end time the king of the South will collide with him, and the king of the North will storm against him with chariots, with horsemen, and with many ships; and he will enter countries, overflow them, and pass through.
41“He will also enter the Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall, but these will be rescued out of his hand: Edom, Moab, and the foremost of the sons of Ammon.
42“Then he will stretch out his hand against other countries, and the land of Egypt will not escape.
43“But he will gain control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt, and Libyans and Ethiopians will follow at his heels.
44“But rumors from the East and from the North will disturb him, and he will go forth with great wrath to destroy and annihilate many.
45“He will pitch the tents of his royal pavilion between the seas and the beautiful Holy Mountain, yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
Daniel saw the end
In the above quote from the Book of Daniel, we see a prophetic passage that details events that took place in history. It is my opinion, and that of many biblical scholars, that Daniel’s prophecy also portends future events. The King of the North and the King of the South, are the two primary adversaries in the war. Israel is caught in the crossfire. Historically, and biblically, those two entities come from the regions that the nations of Turkey and Egypt call home. So, we can infer, from the context of Daniel 10 through twelve, that the Kings of the North and South will clash in battle once more. The King of the North, modern-day Turkey, will prevail.
Because of this passage and several others, we can trust that the current peace deals will fall short of their desired end. Only one man can save them after that.
And that is the man–Christ Jesus the Lord!
So let it be written. So let it be done.

Greater conflict is coming to the Middle East. And the conflict will be far worse than what we have seen before. All of the players in the region are beginning to fear what appears inevitable. And the recent election in the United States seems to have moved the potential flashpoints. The Sunni-Arab Gulf states must move quickly. The backroom deals were already underway. But now, most of them probably realize the time for dithering over details has come to an end. The imminent arrival of the Biden administration has, in my opinion, lit a fire under the leadership. Deals may not be announced soon. But the details of the deals must be ironed out quickly.
Iran and Turkey are gleefully and aggressively pursuing and implementing their plans. Iran has suffered severe setbacks under the Trump administration. Turkey, on the other hand, has enjoyed a free hand as they have made bold moves.
Dangerous changes are underway.
The Israeli leadership is caught in a difficult spot.
The Trump administration is/was a great friend to Israel. As the Jewish nation waits for the outcome of the recent U.S. election, they must “play nice” with the potential incoming administration. And the Jewish nation knows that the previous Obama/Biden administration was a great friend to Iran. A bitter enemy. This is an ominous warning sign to Israel. They need friends in the region. And for the same reason that the Sunni-Arab Gulf states will need friends. Israel has the most advanced military in the region. And a strong and stable economy. They also have ports on the Mediterranean Sea. These are great reasons to forge peace deals with the previously hated Jewish nation. There are deals and arrangements that can and will be made.
Neighbors in need of friends will push and pull these nations together.

White Stone Watcher
Hello readers,
I have served as a children and youth pastor for over three decades. It was a great honor and pleasure to serve the Lord in that way. It has been my prayer, that many of them will learn of Jesus’ love and decide to commit their lives to follow Him.
I wrote the fiction story, ‘White Stone Watcher’ for them and their parents. In the story, we see a young man, and his best friend, Amanda. They face the normal challenges that today’s kids face at school. But with one huge difference.
Their challenge is twelve feet tall to be exact with an enormous set of six wings. Just like the prophet Isaiah saw in the throne room of God. He is a Watcher, an angelic being who is still invisible to Amanda. The messenger from God is about to lead both on a spiritual journey. They find they cannot escape the unseen war that rages all around them. They will become key players that God will use in the battle between the Sons of Darkness and the Children of Light.
I invite you to pray about a youth who might enjoy and benefit from this story. As the world grows darker, our youth must become aware that the Lord is calling them to join the Children of Light in the fight for what is righteous. We are all involved, whether we realize it or not. If they do not go to church, maybe they will read a book about someone just like them facing challenges at school.
God is calling them.
