Let us hope not. “a mouthpiece of Turkish President” predicts the West will fall.
The nation of Turkey believes it will regain control of the Middle East. Let us hope they are wrong. But of course, we know, hope isn’t a strategy. It’s a dream. And dreams don’t always come true. In this case, the dream will turn into a nightmare. With that, you might say to me. Let’s hope you are wrong.
Okay, we can dream. But while we’re daydreaming we might want to dust off our Bibles and take a closer look at the prophetic scriptures. And a quick glance at history in the Middle East will be useful as well.
But what about the baseball season? Can’t we just have some baseball before the world collapses?
Wouldn’t that be nice?
Is the powder keg about to be lit?

See the revealing news item below that sheds a light on the devious plans of Erodgan and Turkey. While you and I are waiting for baseball to start, some folks are planning on changing the world as we know it.
The following verses point to the importance of the region that modern-day Turkey now claims as their own.
But they want more.
1 Chronicles 1:5
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek, and Tiras.
Here’s the same verse but in another book of the Bible.
Genesis 10:2
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek, and Tiras.
Below, we see a prophecy that awaits fulfillment in the near future. The mysterious leader, named Gog, will lead several countries against Israel.
Ezekiel 38:2
“Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. Prophecy against him”

Accurate Bible Atlases make something clear. These verses do not point to Russia and Putin as many people want you to believe.
In the last days, a group of nations will arise from the lands mentioned in the Bible. They will seek control of the Middle East and of regions beyond. They will attack and crush the only democracy in the region. That’s Israel. After the Israeli defeat, God’s plan of mercy and forgiveness will come into plain view.
All the world will look on in amazement.
Let’s hope they don’t succeed–but they will.
The power center of the Ottoman Empire was based in modern-day Turkey. As unrest spreads across the United States and Europe, Turkey continues to spread its influence across the Middle East. They are planning, and expect full restoration of the power they once claimed. Regardless of what modern politicians, national leaders, or media outlets say, the biblical narrative was written thousands of years ago. The prophecies cannot be unwritten. But we can and should learn from what the prophets told us.
And in the Bible, we can see clear evidence that the region of modern-day Turkey has prophetic significance in the final days of God’s story. In some way, Turkey will play a prominent role in the last days. We can guess or speculate, no one knows for certain
Is this the end of the world as we know it? Let’s hope not. The baseball season hasn’t even begun yet. Let’s hope we can get in a few games before the Western world collapses in on itself. As cities across the United States burn, there are many nations across the Middle East that are cheering what they see.
Jeremiah 29:11 Let us hope
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
The Lord gave that verse in Jeremiah as he told the prophet hard times were about to come to the nation.
Hebrews 11:1 Let us hope
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
The writer of Hebrews assured Christians, and all people, that we should cling to hope. But that message was vitally important for the early Christians as they faced difficult times.
