The Lord saw the wickedness of man
Evil Continually…does humanity’s evil have a limit? Is there a breaking point when we will turn toward goodness and long for peace and love? Will the thirst and hunger for evil ever be satisfied? As one looks across the landscape of man’s passion for wicked the answer seems clear–no. Man will not be satisfied until every passion is explored. The horror show that is humanity is growing worse. read more and here
We can sing happy songs and look the other way if we choose but things are not getting better. (read more) Tell me if you can what indications are there that we will turn this train wreck around. Our hearts should break for people who suffer at the hands of brutal humanity. Our souls should cry out to God to bring redemption in the midst of this evil scourge. This is not a passing fad among crazed lunatics. People have always had this devious nature but things are different now. The access to the internet and technology ‘toys’ make images, ideas, and tools of torture readily available. The thought that people live in that world should sicken us all. They imagine what it would be like to hurt people–and worse. They are dead souls walking among us.
Many news stories in the past couple of years detailed the terrible deeds of ISIS. Innocent people suffered. While we read about that evil overseas did we know about the evil in our neighborhoods? There is probably more torture on our streets, back alleys, bedrooms, and in ‘friendly’ neighborhoods as there are in the war-torn villages of Syria.
Cain and Abel
Genesis 4
Cain killed his brother because he was jealous. He thought God favored Abel. The fault was with Cain, not Abel. God gave Cain a chance to choose to do well. Cain followed his envious heart. When the Lord confronted him he got mad at God for making his life more difficult. God said there would be a punishment. Cain complained that he wasn’t being treated fairly by God, while his brother Abel lay dead in a field.
The heart of man lusts for evil continually…
Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
Matthew 24:37

Romans 1:28
Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done.
Proverbs 6:18
A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,
None of this is a surprise to the Lord. He knows what is in the heart of man. He has a plan to fix it.
Genesis 6:5
The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Evil permeates not just our lives through the never-ending crimes that assault us in every way imaginable, but also our very imaginations—individually and collectively—constantly delve and wallow in every sort of evil…read more
The goodness of God will prevail. The world will have peace and people will live in harmony with each other. But before the time of peace, we must endure the growing darkness for a little while longer.
