The nation of Chad has chosen to restore relations with Israel.
If you aren’t familiar with the Nation of Chad, you’re not alone. It’s not a nation that finds itself in the news very often. But in a recent news story, the typically overlooked country took a bold move to restore diplomatic relations with the Nation of Israel. And the news has stirred emotions and hope around the world. This could be a very important move. And as many people realize, it has important Bible prophecy implications. It’s significant because the Nation of Chad is one of many Islamic nations among a block of North African nations that had cut off relations with Israel. Virtually all of the Middle East and most of North Africa is a solid block of Islamic countries. Most of them have been openly hostile toward Israel. Are we seeing a gentle thawing of relations between the Jewish nation and her Islamic neighbors?
I think so.
The Bible gives hints of a temporary time of peace just before the series of cataclysmic events we read about in the Book of Revelation. The peace will be short-lived but it will probably lead to some nations, (Israel?) letting down their guards. And that will lead to the devastating wars that the prophets predicted in the last days.
1 Thessalonians 5:3
While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Can Jews, the Nation of Chad, and Arabs coexist?
Much like oil and water, Israel and the Islamic nations don’t mix. The trouble goes all the way back to Father Abraham. His two sons, Ishmael, and Isaac became bitter enemies when Isaac was just a baby. That brotherly strife has continued to this day. And it will not stop until the descendants of Ishmael surround the tiny nation of Israel and attempt to destroy them forever. The end result will be Armageddon and the near destruction of life on Earth.
But first, there will be peace.
Genesis 16:11-12
The angel of the LORD also said to her: “You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD, has heard of your misery.”
The move by the Nation of Chad is part of a growing number of Islamic nations that are willing to reconsider their hostile stance toward Israel. I believe this is part of a trend that will continue. The leaders of these Islamic nations don’t like Israel. At best, they tolerate the Jewish nation’s existence for now. In the future, most of them hope to see Israel annihilated. They believe their prophet predicted as much.
For now, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and other prominent Arab nations are biting their tongues and holding their noses in order to make temporary peace with Israel.

Israel and Chad restore relations, could Mali be next?
In the end, war cannot be avoided. The Old Testament prophets wrote detailed descriptions of the coming wars.
In just one verse below we see that the wars will continue until the end.
After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.
