Return to God. The One who sent His Son Jesus.
In the Garden of Eden, Eve ate a piece of fruit. At the time, it seemed innocent. But we know the truth. Her actions required a return to God. But instead, she defended herself. Blamed others. And so the deadly pattern of history was set in motion. We’ve all done the same. And much worse in many cases. No one has escaped the deadly attraction of sin.
And for roughly six thousand years, the pattern has held true. A sinner, drawn away from God, gives in to the enticement of sin. We’ve all fallen. There is no one who has resisted the urge to sin. None but Jesus I should say. And because of, and through the strong faith of Jesus, God provided an answer. A way to return to God.
But still, men resist the call. The still small voice of God sounds in the ears of men, women, and children. But the resistance is strong.
And now we find ourselves nearing the end of the story. And a seemingly innocent event draws worldwide attention. The Hagia Sophia was converted back into a Mosque. Does that represent a return to God? Not according to the Bible I read. Actually, it foreshadows the soon approach of difficult times.
The world is not ready for what is coming. But the world isn’t paying attention. Most people are distracted by a virus. Or a man in the White House. Others are worried about Bill Gates, the mark of the beast, and his vaccine.
What is distracting you?
Return to God.
We should focus our attention on the One True God. To the Christian, I say this.
Return to God. Don’t let the challenges that life throws at you divert your attention from the most important thing.
And, the Lord is the most important. It’s time. Return to God.
The world will not wait until you are ready. In fact, the world is rushing head-on into the difficult days Jesus warned about. At the time I write this, we are many years away but the warning signs are flashing red. But too many people aren’t noticing. There are too many things to distract us. All the while, the enemies of God prepare.

Return to God
Let the faithful friends of Daniel be an example to you. When everyone else bowed to a false god. The men of faith stood firm in their devotion to the One True God.
The Fiery Furnace
8 Therefore at that time, certain Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews.
9 They declared to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live forever!
10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who hears the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image.
11 And whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into a burning fiery furnace.
12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”
13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. So they brought these men before the king.
14 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up?
15 Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”
It takes courage to stand
Will you stand when the world bows? What you say now could change when the pressure mounts.
Are you strong like the friends of Daniel? Or will you wilt under the pressure? Most people will wilt and pay an eternal debt. Jesus paid the price already. But too many reject the free gift.

White Stone Watcher
Hello readers,
I have served as a children and youth pastor for over three decades. It was a great honor and pleasure to serve the Lord in that way. It has been my prayer, that many of them will learn of Jesus’ love and decide to commit their lives to following Him.
I wrote the fiction story, ‘White Stone Watcher’ for them and their parents. In the story, we see a young man, and his best friend, Amanda. They face the normal challenges that today’s kids face at school. But with one huge difference.
Their challenge is twelve feet tall to be exact with an enormous set of six wings. Just like the prophet Isaiah saw in the throne room of God. He is a Watcher, an angelic being who is still invisible to Amanda. The messenger from God is about to lead both on a spiritual journey. They find they cannot escape the unseen war that rages all around them. They will become key players that God will use in the battle between the Sons of Darkness and the Children of Light.
I invite you to pray about a youth who might enjoy and benefit from this story. As the world grows darker, our youth must become aware that the Lord is calling them to join the Children of Light in the fight for what is righteous. We are all involved, whether we realize it or not. If they do not go to church, maybe they will read a book about someone just like them facing challenges at school.
God is calling them.
