The Revelation Road
Welcome to the Revelation Road. It’s nice to have visitors here in the crazy world of Bible prophecy. My name is Doug Drake and as the author of this site, I invite you to explore the scriptures with me as we dive deep into the words of the ancient writers and prophets.
The Revelation Road
God’s Inspired Word tells the story of The Revelation Road
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Almighty revealed his character and purpose to humanity within the words and stories found in the scriptures. It’s a grand story with dramatic starts and finishes. The Bible records approximately four thousand years of biblical chronology.
We probably sit on the threshold of one thousand years of peace and prosperity. The likes of which the world has never seen. It’s a time of peace that God’s prophets predicted.
But before that time of peace, something terrible will happen first. Revelation Road is a journey toward peace. But before there is peace, there will be war. And lots of it.
The big-picture view at The Revelation Road
The ancient writers believed God gave humanity six thousand years before a dreadful day of judgment would arrive. And after that, a thousand years of rest.
Were they right about that? I think they were.
If so then we better prepare for what’s in the near future. And for those of you who think we are well past six thousand years…
You are in for a surprise when you find out we are not.
A humbling call from the Lord
It has been my great honor to study and teach the Bible for over four decades to children, youth, and adults. In large numbers and small humble settings. My ministry started in California. And it has stretched around the world. The Lord has given me the high honor of preaching His Gospel truth.
I’ve preached to large mixed-aged audiences in comfortable pews and chairs. But on numerous occasions, I’ve been privileged to get outside of the church walls and onto the mission field. I’ve taught little children and their teachers and parents in Mexico, Ireland, Africa, and Russia. Some wore scars from wars they were forced to fight.
Others were blind from lack of medicine or proper care. Pastors walked for days on shoeless feet to hear a word from the Lord.
Scars and burdens for Jesus
And many carried deep-seated burdens from the miseries of hard lives. But still, most of the children and adults carried a spark of joy that was a witness to the Spirit of God that lived in them.
If they lacked tables and chairs, I was glad to sit alongside them on dirt floors.
Because, well, that’s all they had. And that was just fine.
The Good News sounds even better sitting on dirt floors. The scars will heal when Jesus comes back.
I am blessed to have you here, please stay for a while and let me know what you think.
