Israel and Arab peace deal presented in 2019?

Israel and Arab Peace in our time?

Early next year is possibly when we will see the presentation of a peace deal between Israel and Arab nations. I am not suggesting a peace deal gets signed next year, though it’s possible. But I do think there is a very good chance the plans of the deal are presented for public consumption within the first two months of 2019.

Below are a couple articles of interest.

Israel and Arab peace plan unveiled in 2019

Israel says peace deal announcement in early 2019.

There are a few important reasons why the negotiators of the deal will present the plans soon.

Israel and Arab peace — why now?

  1. Upcoming elections in Israel mean it’s better to present the guidelines of the deal before the election gets closer.
  2. Peace for your children is always a good campaign slogan.
  3. The reelection of Donald Trump in 2020 is not a foregone conclusion.
  4. If there is even the slightest doubt within the Trump administration about getting reelected, they will push heaven and hell to get the deal done before 2020.

And speaking of heaven and hell, the forces or good and evil will be on full display when or if this deal comes to light soon. The political fireworks in Israel and The United States are just getting warmed up. It is in the interests of the current leadership of both Israel and the U.S. to finally close this elusive deal. And another key player in this is Saudi Arabia. Their new leader is under intense scrutiny for the brutal killing of a reporter.

Saudi Arabian reporter brutally killed.

The young leader is denying he had any part in the slaying of the reporter. He’s most likely lying just as all leaders of countries do. But this deal between Israel and Arab nations is more than the deal of a century. It’s possibly the most important deal in the last two thousand years.

Israel and Arab nations can’t seem to agree on peace

Could this develop into the framework for Daniel’s “covenant with many” or Isaiah’s “covenant with death“? Yes, I believe it could.

Isaiah 28:18

“Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be beaten down by it.”

Daniel 9:27

“And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week, he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”

It is my opinion that the peace-deal guidelines will come to light soon. Then the intense negotiations will continue. But we should realize that the negotiating has been ongoing since the early days of the Trump administration. It’s my understanding that the main stumbling block to reaching a deal is the Palestinian leadership.

All of the other teams from various countries are generally in support of moving forward and finalizing the deal. Some of the principal countries involved are the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt. A lesser player in the process is the country of Turkey. But they don’t see themselves as a lesser player and are looking for ways to insert themselves into a more prominent role.

Whoever killed the reporter, did so in Turkey. And rumors suggest, his body was dismembered and then dissolved in acid. His opinion pieces were written in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood. He strongly opposed the Saudi Arabian leadership. Turkey supports the political views held by the slain reporter. Saudi Arabia is trying to lessen the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in their country and the Middle East. I wouldn’t be surprised if we later find out that Turkey was desperately trying to prevent this peace deal so they can arrange something more to their liking.

This could turn out to be nothing, or it could be one of the biggest turning points in the last two thousand years.
