From Sad News to Bad News, The World is Not Getting Better. Franklin Graham

The World is not getting better

The world, this place we call home is in a ‘world of hurt.’ We are heading down a path we will not be able to find our way back from. Evolution is not helping. Darwin’s theory gave many hope that we would evolve into a better form of humanity.

We aren’t evolving into a more advanced or better species. It’s closer to the fact to think of ourselves as regressing back into animal-like instincts. The dog-eat-dog is taking over. We would rather kill our neighbor than love him. The communist/Marxist revolutions that enveloped large countries and promised a world without religion brought hope to some. A very small ‘some’ though. Tens of millions of people died from Russia to China, to Cuba, and South America in the hope of cleansing the world of it’s capitalistic and religious fantasies. Once the necessary killing stopped, the world would be better.

Communism–Another Failed Hope

Communism is clinging on to life in a few spots around the globe. Those tens of millions of people who lost their lives did so to enrich a few despotic leaders. The world is still heading down a dark path. I believe we are speeding up in our rush to the bottom.

I remember, years ago, there was a lot of excitement about moving into the ‘age of Aquarius.’ Many anticipated that the world would have peace then. The lyrics of a popular song encouraged many to believe we truly did have a genuine opportunity to find the elusive peace we longed for.

The Age of Aquarius

The expression Age of Aquarius in popular culture usually refers to the heyday of the hippie and New Age movements in the 1960s and 1970s.

Although more rock than new-age in the genre, the 1967 musical Hair, with its opening song Aquarius and the memorable line “This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”, brought the Aquarian Age concept to the attention of audiences worldwide. However, the song further defines this dawning of the age within the first lines: “When the Moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars”.

Astrological gibberish

Astrologer Neil Spencer denounced the lyrics as “astrological gibberish”, noting that Jupiter aligns with Mars several times a year and the moon is in the 7th House for two hours every day.[18] These lines are considered by many[who?] to be a merely poetic license, though some people take them literally. An example is the identification of Valentine’s Day 2009 as the “perfect alignment to support our collective manifestation of love and peace and the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”.[19] In popular culture, the NBC television show Aquarius, which premiered on May 28, 2015, is based on the Charles Manson case. The name relates to the “dawn of Aquarius,” also commonly referred to as the New Age way of thinking.

Houston we have a problem

To keep with the astronaut theme, I quote from another popular movie for this heading. Sometimes we recognize we have a problem. Today, I don’t know if the world understands that we have a very serious problem. We are careening toward a cliff and sitting back enjoying the ride. We are sure that the other person has issues but we don’t.

Rev. Graham: ‘Darkness Is Spreading,’ ‘Forces of Evil’ Working to Destroy Moral Society

The son of famed Gospel preacher Billy Graham, the Reverand Franklin Graham, sees that the world is heading for trouble. As you might suspect he knows there is only one hope for this march to the darkness. See article here

It’s all about Jesus. The name and man so many love and so many hate. The little baby born in a feeding trough, who grew up to become a man his enemies put on a cross, is the answer. He is the One who will rescue this world from its love affair with hatred.
