faster than I expected, Turkey progresses toward their goals

Turkey has occupied a small part of Greece faster than I expected.

They took this action faster than anyone could have thought. But they chose this time while the rest of the world is busy staying inside. A few weeks ago, I sat with a good friend. We talked about this very possibility. But there’s no doubt this is much faster than I ever imagined. It’s years or even a decade-plus faster than I expected.

But there is no reason for anyone to get overly excited or concerned. Don’t light your hair on fire or go to a mountaintop and wait for Jesus to return. Refrain from curling up in a ball in the corner of your upstairs closet. Brush your teeth and get a good night’s sleep. And when you wake. Start your day with the Lord, and follow his lead. Just don’t panic, there’s no need.

Even so, if there was something you were planning to do–perhaps you should get to that faster. For instance, if you were planning to tell your neighbor about Jesus. Do it faster. If you were planning to start being nicer to people. Make that change faster. Were you planning to start reading your Bible more often? Plan faster.

I think you get the point.

Just below, you’ll find one of many articles I’ve written regarding the probability that Turkey sits squarely in the middle of future prophetic events.

Keep one eye on Israel, the other on Turkey, and if you have another, keep it on your daily walk with the Lord.

Jesus said occupy–so occupy

Let’s get busy or stay busy about the Father’s business. Our own business grows less important as that day draws near. But the Bible says we are to occupy until the Lord comes. And that doesn’t mean watching a bunch of YouTube videos about the end of the world. Be more productive with the life the Lord has given you. I’ve placed the “Occupy” Bible passage at the bottom of this post.

The COVID virus has taken everyone’s attention away from more important things and onto the less important ones. Yes, less important. In California, where I live, our government is concerned with keeping churches on lockdown and making sure people walk on the wet sand and not dry sand. And of course, they make every effort to prevent citizens from standing still on the beach. Because that is apparently more dangerous than walking on the wet sand. That is a small sample of how ludicrous our government leaders have become.

The reason for this “faster” alarm.

It is this author’s opinion that the Bible points a scriptural finger directly at the nation of Turkey.

All the while, Turkey is moving ahead in their plans to take control of the Middle East. As I mentioned above, a friend and I were talking about possible scenarios in the broader Middle East. I believe he asked me what I thought would happen in the next few years. I made a general statement about their current occupation of parts of Syria and Iraq. Also, they were involved militarily inside Libya.

Then I mentioned to my friend, that he shouldn’t be surprised someday if Turkey invaded Greece. And now this has happened. But to be clear. This isn’t an invasion. Turkey is just testing the waters, trying to see what they can get away with. My guess, and it’s only a guess, is that they will face some outside pressure. Maybe they will pull back. But they are stretching out, just looking to see what they can take. They took part of Cyprus many years ago. They still hold it today.

So, I just thought I would let people know, there’s more going on than COVID and learning where we can walk on sandy beaches.

The news about Turkey

Here’s the news item that caught my attention. It appears to be a legit story. Although I admit I’m jumping on this faster than I normally would.

The Parable of the Ten Minas (Work faster and smarter now.)

11 As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately.

12 He said, therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return.

13 Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I come.’

14 But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’

15 When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business.

16 The first came before him, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.’

17 And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’

18 And the second came, saying, ‘Lord, your mina has made five minas.’

19 And he said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’

20 Then another came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,

21 for I was afraid of you because you are a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’

22 He said to him, ‘I will condemn you with your own words, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow?

23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, and at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’

24 And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’

25 And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas!’

26 ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

27 But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’”

Just to be clear. There could be two or three decades or many more before anything significant happens. Or not.

But it will unfold in the way the Bible shows us. Not in some crazy, asteroid first, then vaccine, and then the mark of the beast in a matter of months. Don’t fall for those types of panic teachers and video scams.

Just stay busy with what the Lord has put before you. Get that done. And then do the next thing he lays in front of you.
